Faux Finish Design Studio, LLC is proud to present the DesignCrete®  Concrete Countertop Overlay System.  It is manufactured in our Muskegon, Michigan facility, where we consistently create countertop products that are anything but ordinary.   It is our passion to create interior and exterior countertops that reflect your taste and lifestyle.
The DesignCrete® overlay system, which is comprised of the proprietary concrete countertop mix, SuperClear™ epoxy, and FinalCoat™ urethane are all produced using our own unique formulas.  

 

DesignCrete® is the ultimate in concrete countertop overlays, with incredible adhesion and durability. Almost any look can be achieved, from stone to marble, granite to travertine, or the creation of a completely custom look.    Once installed the countertops are seamless and completely sealed.  The whole DesignCrete® System is water based and has virtually no odor during installation. Countertops, sinks, tables, desks and shelves are just a few of the surfaces that can be covered with the DesignCrete® overlay.   It can be applied to any surface including but not limited to laminate, Corian®, Formica™, Silestone® quartz, stone, cultured Marble, outdated solid surfaces and ceramic tile.    It can also be used in new construction when applied over new cabinet decks made of high density particle board or medium density fiberboard (MDF).
 

 

The DesignCrete® Overlay System was developed to apply over the top of many types of countertop surfaces to avoid the cost and waste of tearing out the old countertops only to throw them in a landfill.   All the components are environmentally friendly and meet the volatile organic compounds (VOC) limit for every state, including California. 

 

The DesignCrete®  Concrete Countertop Overlay is easy to install, and Tim Stimers, the developer of the DesignCrete® system hosts two day workshops each month in the Muskegon facility to teach people everything they need to know to create beautiful countertops.    All aspects of installation are covered from preparing the worksite to applying the FinalCoat™ urethane topcoat.   The workshop is very hands on and limited to 10 participants to ensure every graduate is thoroughly trained in all aspects of the concrete overlay process.  Our workshop is more intense than most seminars, classes or workshops offered in decorative concrete training and more about it can be found in the workshop section of the website..
